UNICEPTA, a leading provider of media intelligence, has examined how well Germany's top 250 corporations by revenue are positioned against right-wing extremism. In total the UNICEPTA analysts covered and evaluated 28.8 million articles and postings with in print, digital and on social media from April 2023 until March 2024.

Right-wing extremism gained strength again in Germany and Europe last year. It has long been known that this is not only a problem for politics and democracy, but also for society as a whole. People all over the world have therefore joined the protests against the right. A clear stance and unambiguous positioning against the right has therefore become an important aspect for all corporations and organizations as well.

Society has long expected companies to take a stand on important issues in society or to have answers and solutions to society's most pressing challenges.

This year's Thought Leadership Award recognizes the communications department and organization that has been particularly successful in communicating a clear corporate stance to the outside world and publicly positioning itself as a pioneer in the fight against right-wing extremism.

We analyzed a total of 28.8 million publications from traditional media and posts on social media to determine which companies communicate particularly effectively and take a clear stance against right-wing extremism. Volkswagen, Deutsche Bank, the energy company Evonik, Deutsche Bahn and the screw manufacturer Würth stood out in particular. Who is the winner of the Thought Leadership Award 2024?
